BOTOX® Cosmetic
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a fast, simple and very effective way to reduce
wrinkles that are dynamic expression lines caused by
muscle action. It is particularly effective in eliminating
or reducing crow's feet around the eyes, frown lines between
the eyebrows (glabella), and forehead lines. The procedure
takes only a few minutes with little discomfort. The effect
lasts for many months.

Brown Spots
Discolored spots caused by the sun, age, or pregnancy can
be evened out by glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or TCA peels,
microdermabrasion or laser treatment. Depending on the type
of spot or spots, Dr. Kosarek will choose an appropriate
method of treatment. Typically multiple spots can be treated
during one office visit and with very little discomfort. |
Collagen, Fillers
To treat fine lines, wrinkles, and shallow scars. Dr. Kosarek
uses Zyderm and Cosmoderm. To treat pronounced scars, lines,
and furrows, as well as to define the lip border, Dr. Kosarek
uses Zyplast and Cosmoplast. To gently and safely minimize
the appearance of wrinkles, Dr. Kosarek also uses RESTYLANE,
a crystal-clear gel containing hyaluronic acid that is injected
into the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. Results
are instantaneous and long-lasting. Both collagen and hyaluronic
acid are normal components of the skin that decrease with
aging, creating wrinkles. |
Glycolic Peel
Often referred to as a "lunchtime peel," a glycolic peel
is a gentle exfoliating technique use to treat acne, blotchy
pigment, fine lines, and photo damage. The peel smoothes
rough, dry and sun-damaged skin, giving it a brighter appearance
and fresher texture. |
Hair Removal
LightSheer laser hair removal for men and women has the
ability to permanently reduce hair growth and treat a wide
range of skin colors and hair types. It requires a series
of treatments and is a safe, easy and effective way to remove
unwanted hair on virtually any body area permanently. |
Leg Vein Treatment
Dr. Kosarek can now virtually erase spider veins using the
VersaPulse laser. Through the use of very high-energy light,
the laser targets a vein and "vaporizes" it safely, easily,
and effectively. Multiple treatments are often necessary
for the best results. Dr. Kosarek also treats spider and
certain varicose veins with sclerotherapy. After examination
of the veins, Dr. Kosarek will determine which method of
treatment, laser or sclerotherapy, is most suitable for use. |
Microdermabrasion
The appearance of fine lines, sun damage, dull and drab
skin are dramatically reduced through microdermabrasion,
a resurfacing procedure that uses a fine spray of crystals
blown at the skin and vacuumed off. Results can be enhanced
and maintained when used in conjunction with various chemical
peels and specialized skincare products. |
Tattoo Removal
Dr. Kosarek uses the VersaPulse laser to remove unwanted
tattoos over a series of treatments. The VersaPulse laser
selectively targets the pigment of the tattoo without damaging
the surrounding skin, removing professional or amateur tattoos;
multi-colored or monochromatic tattoos; and all types of
ink. |
Versa Pulse Laser
The Versa Pulse Laser provides successful laser removal
of unwanted tattoos, pigmented lesions, and spider veins
on the face or legs in a procedure that offers minimal pain
or probability of scarring. |
Smooth Beam Laser
The Smooth Beam laser combats the effects of aging and shallow
acne scars by gently stimulating the production of collagen.
It is also effective for treatment of acne by changing the
function of the sebaceous glands that cause acne. Smooth
Beam facial rejuvenation treatments also work wonders on
crow's feet and can postpone more aggressive treatments or
prolong the results of previous treatments. In December 2004,
the Smooth Beam Diode Laser was approved by the FDA for the
treatment of sebaceous hyperplasia, a common condition of
the middle aged and elderly where small yellow bumps up to
3 mm in diameter form on the forehead or cheeks. Dr. Kosarek
treats this condition easily and effectively with minimal
recovery time with the Smooth beam laser. |
Acne
Based on the severity and type of acne, Dr. Kosarek may
recommend microdermabrasion, Smooth Beam laser treatments
or a glycolic peel. All procedures result in an improved
complexion and minimize acne. Dr. Kosarek may first, or in
addition to treatments, prescribe medication and/or skin
care products for preventative maintenance. |
Facial Vein Treatments
Spider veins on the face caused by rosacea, sun damage and
skin injury from allergies can be treated easily with the
Versa Pulse laser. The procedure offers minimal pain or probability
of scarring.
